Offshore Delivery Centre Setup
UAE digital bank
A UAE-based digital bank needed to scale its technology and operations capability quickly while controlling cost. ALP established an India-based offshore delivery centre from the business case through to operation.
Scope of work
Business need assessed, establishing the case for an India-based centre against rapid scale-up requirements, cost reduction and access to the technical talent pool.
RFP designed and run, covering scope, KPIs, delivery models and compliance expectations, with vendors benchmarked through a custom evaluation framework on capability, cultural fit, cost and scalability.
Location and model selected, assessing tier-1 and tier-2 cities on talent availability, infrastructure readiness and regulatory ease, and selecting a hybrid captive and vendor model for flexibility and control.
Infrastructure set up, overseeing workspace design, technology infrastructure and cloud-compliant architecture in line with UAE data requirements.
Hiring and capability built through a phased plan across technology, operations and quality assurance roles, with agile pods established, domain training delivered and cross-border collaboration processes defined.
Governance implemented covering monthly performance reviews, SLA adherence and risk management protocols, with plug-and-play integration to the UAE headquarters delivery teams and cloud systems.
Outcome and value
- A delivery centre operating and integrated with the bank's agile teams.
- Scale-up capacity added at lower cost than onshore hiring.
- Compliance maintained with data protection, KYC norms and local labour law.
- Governance transferred to the bank's own management.
